A goal weight isn't a finish line so much as a new number to hold. The question changes shape: the thing to watch is no longer a falling line, it's a steady one.

What changes

Before goal, Light Years shows you which way your trend is heading. In maintenance, a flat line is what you're aiming for. Single readings still bounce around, so the trend line matters just as much here as it did before.

The maintenance band

Rather than a single target, it helps to think in a band — a small range around your goal where ordinary day-to-day noise lives. Light Years draws that band once your trend reaches your goal, so "holding steady" becomes something you can see instead of guess at.

Keep logging, lightly

A lighter weighing cadence still lets the trend show you, over weeks, whether you're drifting up or down. Fewer readings mean a less certain line, so the drift note waits for a sustained change.

Whether and how long to continue any medication in maintenance is a decision for you and your prescriber. This guide is general information, not medical advice.

Light Years draws this smoothed line from your own weigh-ins, on your device. Open my tracker or browse the other guides.
