Which pack will I actually use?
With a smaller appetite, a bigger pack can cost more per portion you actually eat. Enter two packs — the price, how many equal portions are in each, and how many you expect to use — to see what each portion you use really costs.
The details you enter stay in this browser.
Changing the currency only changes the label — it never converts your numbers.
What each portion you use costs
Pack A
Unknown until you enter: price, portions in the pack, portions you expect to use.
Pack B
Unknown until you enter: price, portions in the pack, portions you expect to use.
Arithmetic on your numbers only. It says nothing about nutrition, freshness or dates.
— the link is always blank; your numbers are never in it.
How it works
- Cost per portion you use = price ÷ the portions you expect to use (never more than the pack holds).
- The shelf figure — price ÷ portions in the pack — is shown too, so you can see the difference.
- A blank field stays unknown; it is never treated as zero.
- It does arithmetic on your numbers only. It doesn't look anything up, and says nothing about nutrition, freshness or dates.
