Mounjaro and Zepbound are the same medicine, tirzepatide, sold under two names: Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes and Zepbound for weight management and sleep apnea. Here is what Lilly, the White House and Medicare have published about their prices and coverage.

Zepbound: savings card and self-pay

Lilly's savings card lists as little as $25, savings capped at $100 a month and $1,300 a year (as reported by Eli Lilly and Company, September 2026; checked November 2, 2026 — may have changed)[2] for people whose commercial insurance covers Zepbound, and as low as $499 a month (as reported by Eli Lilly and Company, September 2026; checked November 2, 2026 — may have changed)[2] for the single-dose pen when it doesn't. For the KwikPen, Lilly lists self-pay prices of $299 / $399 / $449 a month (as reported by Eli Lilly and Company, September 2026; checked November 2, 2026 — may have changed)[2]. People in government health programs are excluded from the savings card[2].

Mounjaro: savings card

For Mounjaro prescribed for an FDA-approved use, Lilly's savings card lists as little as $25, savings capped at $150 a month and $1,950 a year (as reported by Eli Lilly and Company, 2026; checked November 2, 2026 — may have changed)[4] when commercial insurance covers it, and as low as $499 a month (as reported by Eli Lilly and Company, 2026; checked November 2, 2026 — may have changed)[4] when it doesn't; people enrolled in any government-funded program are not eligible[4].

TrumpRx and list price

The White House says Zepbound is available through TrumpRx.gov at an average of $346 a month, as low as $299 (as reported by The White House, February 5, 2026; checked November 2, 2026 — may have changed)[5], and cited monthly list prices of Ozempic $1,028; Wegovy $1,349; Zepbound $1,088 a month (as reported by The White House, February 5, 2026; checked November 2, 2026 — may have changed)[5].

Medicare

The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, for eligible Part D enrollees using these drugs for weight management, includes the Zepbound KwikPen but not Zepbound single-dose pens or vials, at $50 copay a month (as reported by Medicare.gov (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), July 1, 2026; checked November 2, 2026 — may have changed)[3][3]. CMS says Part D plans must continue to cover Zepbound for moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity[6].
